JOURNAL#15: UNIFORM POLICY IS TOO MUCH

I believe the uniform policy is too much!! People do not even have many options for school clothing. We have to wear a dull mandatory uniform set up, which includes beige shirt, black bottoms each with the school logo on it and a white inside shirt that is optional! Now let’s start with the shirts. The only options for boys are polo shirts and girls have the choice of wearing a blouse, and polo. Can’t we do better then that with the uniforms? And what’s with the uniform bottoms! The only choices for are shorts and pants! The girls have the choices of  caprice , skorts, jumpers, shorts, and pants!

Why the white inside shirts? I get why people have gangs, but what are we going to do if there is a gang that uses white? We should be able to use shirt that is colored! Plus there are not many gangs no more! We should be able to dress down at least once a week!! Why do we have to use uniforms!? There is no safety issue concerning it. So what’s the point in using it. They should not configure and tell us how to wear the uniform! because remember this little fact. WE BOUGHT IT!!!! Not them so buzz off!! I would get it if they did, but the fact is they didn’t!!!! So don’t tell us what to do with our uniforms!!

journal#14: The Unfortunate Event

CLIK HERE TO GO TO THE PAGE FROM THE GUAM PDN

It was a very sad event for students and teachers alike at Luis P. Untalan Middle School. People were crying for the beloved Joanna Jasmin, who got hit by the car of a drunk driver. She a was very quiet girl with many friends. so, you can imagine the atmosphere at the school. People were filled with grief and were mourning where ever you looked!

I think its sad that she only had 13 years to live. Also to die by a drunk driver. This goes to show you shouldn’t drink and drive. People should also follow safety guidelines as well because you never know if someone has been drinking. Or even if you would be able to live the next day or even the next second.

journal#13: My Favorite Movie

My favorite movie is”Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”. This movie is one of many Harry Potter movies, which I also like, but this one is my favorite. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is about a boy named Harry Potter, of course, who is in a tournament for magic. He was chosen by the goblet of fire to be in the tournament. Harry had to go through three different stages. At the end, he had to battle his evil nemesis, voldemort, in a fight of magic. also he lost one of his very own friends. At least he won the battle though like he always does.

I think you should watch this movie because it is very entertaining. This movie is also for those who like fictional, action, fantasy, and thriller movies!!! You will stay at the edge of your seat, I promise you that! Trust me, if you watch this movie it could even your favorite movie!!

Journal # 12 : The Retirees Article

This article is an article about cola(cost of living allowance). To be more exact setting aside $14m of borrowed money for cola payouts. The article is mostly talking about survivors of deceased government of Guam retirees who didn’t get anything the first time would get now because of the borrowed money.

I agree with the giving money to retirees. I agree with it because those people are old and can’t work. Plus they have those who have families to support or those with big debts. I also disagree that we are borrowing money. Only because we’re just going to have to pay it back some how and then we are going to have to hold back on giving the retirees their money. So it just starts the chain all over again. SO WHAT THE HECK IS THE POINT! And that’s all I have to say about this subject!

Journal # 10 : Halloween Reaction

I agree that it doesn’t matter how old you are, you can still trick-o-treat. Even if you’re 65 years you could still dress up into any thing you would like to be. Even if you have diabetes you could at least enjoy one day of candy. As long as you don’t eat so much.

It also doesn’t matter if you are 1 month old you can still enjoy Halloween to the fullest extent. Just make sure you be safe

on the streets outside at night. Also make sure you don’t stay out to late. There are some real bad people out there in the world we call our home. so, get out there and trick-o-treat your heart out with your whole family or even just your friends. After all that’s what I did. I went with my friends. yes even I still trick-o-treat, but guess what I don’t care and you shouldn’t either because not much people really can say anything. And you know why? You guessed it, they do it to. Besides it only happens once a year!

Journal # 9 : Class progress

I have learned so much in this class. Like how to make a blog. Before I didn’t know much about computers until I was in this class. I actually still don’t know much, but at least I know something. I also learned how to make a power point presentation.

I learned how to also write a better article cause I already knew how to write one,but Mrs. Carino taught me how to make it better. It’s a good thing she taught me to do it better because I wanted to become a writer or journalist when I grew up. I also learned how to revise correctly. Also the rules in blogging and the rules in using the Internet.

Mrs. Carino also taught me how to attach files from my e-mail. Before I didn’t even really go on the computer, but now I’m mostly there because I know more about it. My knowledge has also improved my blogging skills. Previously I didn’t know what the heck a blog is,but now I know it is a web log on the Internet. Come to think of it I really learned a lot in just this Qtr. alone, so thanks Mrs. Carino.

JOURNAL #8 :THE VIOLATING EXPERIENCE

The experience was surprising to many. An Luis P. Untalan middle school student, Quenie B. said,”The experience was so violating!” The search was being held because of the vandalism on Thursday,August 21, 2007 in the classrooms of U.M.S.. The search was on the students who they thought were the ones who vandalized the 15 classrooms. The school officials also searched random classrooms for possible weapons or other offensive objects students brought to school. The students were referred to the personal pupil office (the ppo). Those who were referred for electronics were not suspended, but given a warning for bring them in the first place. Plus they were fortunate enough to get their things back from the PRINCLPLE OF THE SCHOOL!
